The United States Constitution
As people of the United States, we will try our hardest to create a near perfect nation, we will establish a justice system, keep the country free from violence, create and maintain a militia, provide support for people's well being, and let liberty reign over the nation.
We the People of the United States, in Order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.
To me, this means I will be guarenteed a fair trial if I am accused of any wrongdoing . I will be free from being witnessed to or being involved in violence because the government tries to keep its citizens safe. I will be safe from foreign wars, because the government regulated army is obligated to protect us from warring countries. Also, if I happed to become orphaned, the government would contribute to my health and well being. Lastly, I am assured that I, and future generations of Americans, will be free.

This article is an example of the goal of creating a nation where states work together. But this article is about the opposite- trying to split from the federal government. It is about a proposed amendment ot allow state lesgislature to veto any federal laws or regulations they may disagree with. This does not show the states working as one.
